I recorded and watched last night’s Real Time With Bill Maher, and have to say it was the most-interesting show (his or anyone’s) that I’ve seen in a while. The program featured former New York Gov Eliot Spitzer, yummy economist Paul Krugman, and filmmakers John Waters and Michael Moore.
Moore opened in the traditional one-on-one, followed by a small panel — Spitzer was magnificent and played agreeably off Paul Krugman; later John Waters gave the politico a twisted twist. My favorite line from the night: “No one is suggesting spending more on healthcare, on universal coverage over the next decade than we’ve already pissed away on this war in Iraq”. -Paul Krugman
Indeed. This is a keeper.
