segovia and avila
Although I thought Segovia would be a nice place to visit, I had no idea about the charm, the pre-Roman history, and the simply beautiful vantage points for the eye and a camera. I would love to return for an extended period, or even study there (that’ll have to be after I study in Ireland, I guess).
Avila was probably equally as lovely as a site, but so much tied to church history, I wonder how the non-religious sort keep from feeling completely constricted there — and not end up jumping off the walls of the city.
